event description

Marek Krizka who spent his whole professional life in the field of transatlantic VC investments. He is the co-founder and CEO of the law firm Sparring, as well as the US Growth Lead and US Trademark Attorney at Trama, a global leading trademark registration service. In this interview, Marek shares his views on what it takes to modernize legal services and why he thinks that lawyers won’t draft documents themselves any longer in the not-so-distant future.

Krisztian Berecz is the co-founder of Captiwate, a startup focused on enhancing real-time interactions on websites through live user activity insights and direct communication via chat and video calls. Prior to founding Captiwate, Krisztian was a key figure at SEON, where he started as the founding sales representative and rose to VP of Sales, leading the revenue team through significant growth phases including a post-Series B funding of over $100 million. He later joined Testgorilla's leadership team to develop their sales-assist and sales-led strategies following their $70 million Series A funding.

Unfortunately Istvan Meszaros of Mitzu could not make it to the panel - the panel was moderated by Bernat Nacsa who was previously a Principal at Day One Capital, then went on to build and Co-Found Guild (previously ZGEN).

Participants had the opportunity to join our event where we discussed key strategies for CEE entrepreneurs entering the U.S. market. Topics covered by Marek included:

The strategic and legal implications of scaling to the US, the journey of starting a business in the US remotely from CEE and how to seek investment for a US-focused business.

After the talk we sat down Marek in a panel with the founder of Captiwate to discuss early-stage strategies to Americanize your startup from flipping to raising money and finding Product-Market Fit. The discussion was moderated by Bernat Nacsa.

The event was done in collaboration with CraftHub, your one-stop hub for top tech hackathons and conferences in Hungary, attracting tech enthusiasts from across Europe to share and gain knowledge.
