We're excited to recap our recent First Monday event, which took place on May 8th. The gathering featured Andras Toth, Co-Founder & CTO of Tailfin, who shared his insights after completing Y Combinator's W23 batch and returning to Budapest. Tailfin, the second Hungarian startup to enter YC, specializes in monetizing usage-based pricing models for B2B SaaS businesses. During the event, Andras engaged in a fireside chat, discussing his startup journey, finding the right co-founder, problem-solving, and navigating YC. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session, posing their burning questions to Andras.
A notable update about this event is that it marked a shift toward enhancing the quality of our gatherings. While the foundation of Startup Hungary lies in community support, we've transformed First Monday into a paid event. By purchasing tickets, participants directly contribute to the sustainability and quality of our initiatives. This step enables us to improve our event format, foster connections, offer office hours with industry experts, highlight participating investors, and provide enhanced catering. We appreciate everyone who joined us and helped make this event a success.
