Fundraising Playbook
3rd of July, 2023 @ The Spot
Jared Schrieber, a Silicon Valley unicorn founder turned Hungarian super angel, brings a wealth of experience to the table. As the former Co-Founder and CEO of InfoScout (now Numerator), Jared led the company’s fundraising efforts from its first angel checks, to a VC-led Series A, a Strategic-led Series B, the use of Venture Debt instead of a Series C and finally a Private Equity backed merger to fund the company’s growth towards a unicorn exit.

event description

We are thrilled to report that Jared Schrieber joined us for the July First Monday event to share invaluable fundraising advice for pre-seed to Series A startups. This insightful session was followed by community mingling, incredible individuals, rosé fröccs, and pizza.

After stepping down as CEO, Jared relocated to Hungary and quickly became the most active angel investor in the ecosystem, with an impressive track record of supporting numerous Hungarian startups. Beyond investing, he also serves as the President of Revolution Robotics, recently published the bestselling book Breakout Brand, and actively supports various ecosystem initiatives, including Startup Hungary and Future Founders Club.

During the session, Jared, along with Csongor, dove into the most important best practices for raising early-stage funding, from pre-seed to Series A. The discussion included a breakdown of fundraising basics and benchmarks, dos and don'ts, strategic fundraise preparation, prospect list building, investor engagement, data room essentials for different stages, and effective closing techniques. This session also offered a sneak peek into our upcoming fundraising workshop series, set to launch in the fall.

Our special summer edition of First Monday was an event not to be missed, providing an opportunity to hone fundraising skills and establish connections with the finest local founders, investors, and key players in the ecosystem.
