event description

Our speakers in May were Balázs Haidekker and István Haidekker, 2 of 3 co-founders of Deligo Vision Technologies, along with investor Aurél Pásztor, representing Portfolion. István, who was our speaker back in March 2022, was back to talk about the latest exciting updates of Deligo since then. Before kicking off Deligo, Balázs and István led Autohop to a successful acquisition by BlaBlaCar.

Deligo Vision Technologies is at the forefront in Europe for AI-powered checkout tech for canteens and micro-markets. They serve over 150 locations across France, Switzerland, and the UK, and work with top-tier clients like Elior and Sodexo at well-known spots including UBS Bank and PWC. Their tech cuts down checkout to just 3 seconds, making for happier guests, faster service, and better revenue. Plus, it streamlines operations by cutting back on the need for checkout staff, letting them shift to more important tasks like serving and prepping food. Deligo’s smart solutions not only boost operational efficiency but also help keep and draw in more business by raising the bar on customer experiences.

We were really excited to share the news of Deligo's new $3 million funding round just on the day of the event - along with the coverage on Forbes.

The round was led by Frontline Ventures. The Frontline portfolio includes companies such as Lattice HR software or Vanta regulatory compliance software. Also joining the institutional front were Interactive Venture Partners, as well as a micro-VC fund focused on robotics, Grep VC, and the AngelInvest investor formation. The remainder of the round was put together by professional angels (names like Frédéric Mazzella, founder of BlablaCar and István's former boss after the Autohop acquisition). Previous angels of Portfolion and Deligo, Robin Chase (Canada, veteran carsharing entrepreneur) and Guzel Gumerova (angel investor active in European markets) also exercised their follow-on options.
